I wish you would give me a phone call

I wish you would give me a phone call
And, after remaining silent, say «I miss you!»
Then a sad world would shine with a smile,
And the sun would warm my soul anew.
But for now, all I have — the rustle of leaves,
The rocky mountains in the distance,
A whistle of the wind above the rooftops
And my hope, piercing incessant greyness.
